Akop Eremyan Obituary
Akop Eremyan, of Marlborough, MA, passed away peacefully at home on December 19th, 2025, after a short illness.
He was born in Athens, Greece, on March 18th, 1938, son of Barsekh and Eli Eremyan, and brother to siblings Stepan, Magdalena, and Maro. After WWII the family repatriated to Armenia. However, once coming of age, Akop decided to escape Soviet Armenia in search of freedom and a better way of life, finally landing in the US in 1959 after a few years abroad.
He served in the US Army and completed his service with an Honorable Discharge.
He was the beloved husband of the late Judith Elizabeth (King) Eremyan, to whom he was married from 1966 until her death in 1991, and is survived by his daughter, Maro Antigone Eremyan, the couple’s only child.
Per his wishes, Akop spent his final days at home in the company of friends and loved ones.
He left this world as he lived his life— on his own terms.
Also per his wishes there will be no public services.
Words cannot express how much those who knew him will miss his quirky, uniquely charming presence and his intriguing and colorful stories. He was kind to everyone, always, and he made us smile and laugh every single day.
