Anita Beauregard Obituary
Sister Anita Beauregard, S.S.CH. (Sr. Marie-Ubald) died Friday, October 2, 2009 at Marie Esther Health Center, Marlborough.
Born in Salem she was the daughter of the late Ubaldo and Ida (Theriault) Beauregard.
Sr. Anita entered the community in 1938, and was a teacher, principal, and superior until 1968, when she was appointed the first Provincial of the U.S. Province, a position she held until 1974. She was instrumental in the sale of the St. Chretienne Academy property to Salem State College in 1971 and in the purchase of the retirement house in Marlborough.
She is survived by her brother, John Beaurgard of Salem and was also the sister of the late Jeannette, Rene and Emile Beauregard.
