Ann Marshall Obituary

Ann L. (Luskin) Marshall, 80, of Hudson, died peacefully Sunday, October 25, 2020, in the Christopher House of Worcester following complications from
COVID 19.

Born in Cambridge, MA on March 8, 1940, Ann was the daughter of the late John H. and Alice G. (Hill) Luskin. She was raised in Waltham; and graduated from Waltham High School with the Class of 1959. In 1961, she married her high school sweetheart; a year later they purchased their first home in Hudson where they have resided for the past 58 years.

She was a member of St. Michael's Parish of Hudson, and St. Isidore Roman Catholic Church of Stow. She was also a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas for many years. Along with raising her family, Ann was employed by Digital Equipment Corporation of Maynard for 19 years, retiring in 1999.

Ann's passion was baking. Her baking hobby not only kept her family surrounded by pies, cakes and other goodies; she also won many, many awards over the years. She had earned several 'blue ribbons' from local country fairs; was a first place winner in Paul Newman's Own Fourth Annual Recipe Contest, and for two consecutive years created first place award winning pies in the Crisco All American Pie Contest. Ann also enjoyed gardening, trips to the casinos, and to Maine where she loved browsing the quaint boutiques and antique shops. She took immense pride in her home, and loved decorating for the holidays. Ann was a kind, caring, nurturing soul who always put others before herself. Her greatest joy in life was her family; she loved spending time with her grandchildren and will always be remembered for her "Grammy stories". She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Ann leaves her best friend and soulmate, her husband of 59 years, Norman E. Marshall of Hudson; daughters, Cheryl Santos and her husband Joseph of Hudson and Cynthia Guercio of Gardner; sons, Jeff Marshall and his wife Katrina of Portland, OR and Peter Marshall and his wife Erin of Hudson; ten grandchildren, Erica Santos, 1LT Michael Santos, Matthew Ryll and his wife Angela, Steven Guercio and his wife Breanne, Mark Guercio, Lexy and Samara Marshall, and Sarah, Rory and Amy Marshall; sister, Shirley Iozzo of Billerica; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Catherine P. McCray, who died in 2005.
