Carol Ellen (Minehan) Lynch, 69, of South Yarmouth MA, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 1, 2024, after a brief illness.

She was the daughter of the late Paul and Rosalie (Padula) Minehan and the wife of the late Thomas Lynch to whom she was married 17 years until his death in 1989. Carol is survived by her daughter, Staci Flanders and her husband Todd as well as her beloved grandson Jake Flanders and granddaughter Karsyn Flanders, all of Angier, North Carolina. She is also survived by her sisters, Patricia Nickerson and her husband Matthew of Naples, FL, Pamela Foley and her husband Timothy of Wareham, MA and Kathleen Beaudoin and her husband Paul of Naples, FL. Carol also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and her best friend Jim Cuddy of Cape Cod. She was predeceased by her brother Michael Paul Minehan, who proudly served in the United States Marine Corp and was killed in action in Vietnam in 1968, and her niece Kerri (Nickerson) Hitch.

During her lifetime Carol actively kept her brother Mickey's memory alive by honoring him at various Veteran and Gold Star Family events.

She attended IC school and participated in the drum and bugle corp. In high school she was a cheerleader and later went on to become a cheerleader coach at Assabet Valley Regional Vocational HS.

Carol and her husband Tommy loved sports cars. She was often seen riding around Marlboro smiling in her white TR6 convertible honking and waving to all who knew her!

While living on Cape Cod, Carol became a Life Member of the Yarmouth Moose Lodge, Chapter 1721 and Lodge 2270. She was an excellent cook and was first and foremost to be there to help prep, serve, and deliver many meals (especially at Thanksgiving). She was Past Regent, obtained an Academy of Friendship Degree, and elected a College of Regents matriculate, as well as served as Secretary and Committee Chairman.

Visiting hours for Carol will be held Friday, September 13, 2024, from 9:00 -11:00 AM at the Slattery Funeral Home Inc., 40 Pleasant Street, Marlborough, MA 01752. Followed by a graveside service at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Beach Street, Marlborough, MA
