Christine (Coggins) Cote, 64, of Marlboro, MA, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025, after a long battle with declining health.

She is survived by her brother Frederick Coggins, and his wife Zita of Northbridge;  as well as her brother James Coggins of Marlboro.  She also leaves her niece Mikayla, whom she raised as her own, and nieces Felicia, Ashley and Brianna; and nephews Aarron and Jesse.  Lest we not forget her great nieces Abigail, Sofia, Adeline, and Mallory; as well as great nephews Oliver, Archer and Alan (AJ). 

Once married to Philip Cote, she is survived by her mother-in-law Pauline Cote, from Gardner, whom she loved and continued to consider a dear friend.

She is predeceased by her sister Carla (Mikayla’s mother), as well as brothers David and William (Bill).

In her early days upon graduating from Marlboro High School, Christine worked and enjoyed the company of friends (and family) at what was L.B. Darling in Southboro (where Southboro Medical is now).  Similarly she then worked at Nypro, in Clinton, with the same joy and enthusiasm she took to all her endeavors.

Dedicated to family, she left professional life to care for her aging grandmother when the family chose to care for her at home (over other alternatives).  She did the same for many family members, even at the cost of her own health- always with a smile!

She had the biggest eyes to go with that contagious smile, as many have remarked on already since her passing.  To a fault, family and friends is where she had her identity and loved every moment in their company. The saying “would give the shirt off her back” describes Teen well. She would give everything she possibly could to help others even if she had nothing to give. 

Calling Hours will be on Tuesday, February 11, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. in the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Pleasant Street, Marlboro.  Her celebration of life will continue at the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, 67 Fitchburg St, Marlboro - directly after calling hours.
