Claudette J. Dion Obituary

Claudette J. Dion, 68, of Marlborough, died Saturday, August 21, 2021, after a two-year battle with cancer. She was an avid lover of reading, good music, movies, and theater. Claudette would spend time with old friends enjoying these fun times. She had a great sense of humor that was enjoyed by all she knew.

Claudette earned her nursing degree at Maui Community College in Hawaii where she began her career as a registered nurse.  As a traveling nurse she was able to see many places and meet many people. She finally made her way back to MA where she continued her nursing career working at Boston Children’s Hospital in Boston and Waltham. She had connections to Framingham as she worked at Framingham Union while residing in the city for many years. During this time, she made great friends and memories. She then moved to Milford and worked at Milford Regional Hospital. Claudette was dedicated to her career as a nurse, her family was very proud of her. After many years she settled back in Marlborough, where she was born and raised, one of six children to the late Nelson J. and Mary E. (Misner) Dion.

Claudette had a passion for working with children and became a per-diem school nurse for the Hudson, Marlborough, Framingham, and Northborough school systems. As her retirement grew closer, she pursued a job that she truly loved. She became a nanny in 2019 to Olivia and Parker, who brought her so much joy.
