Claudette Lacroix Obituary

Claudette M. LaCroix,92, of Marlboro, Ma, passed on to join her husband, family, and friends on Friday, May 12, 2023 at St. Patrick's Manor in Framingham, Ma.

Claudette was born in Marlboro, MA and was the daughter of the late Roland N. and Dora (Bouvier)Dessein, wife of the late Richard P. LaCroix, and sister of the late Suzanne C. Seariac.

Claudette is survived by her five children. Her sons David LaCroix and his wife Marsha of Hubbardston, John LaCroix and his wife Evelyn of Shrewsbury, Stephen LaCroix of Millbury, her daughter's Valerie Briggs and her husband Alan of Hendersonville, TN, and Lisa Sestito and her husband Robert Sestito of Smithfield, RI. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Eric and his wife Molly LaCroix, Jane LaCroix, Meredith Williams and her husband Joseph Williams, Mitchell Briggs and his wife Karlie, Emily LaCroix, Tristan LaCroix, Stephanie LaCroix, and Michael LaCroix.

Claudette was a graduate of St. Anne's Academy and a long time parishioner of the former St. Mary's church in Marlboro. After high school she worked as an executive secretary at Frye Shoe Co. until her marriage and beginning their family. Later, she was a manifest/billing clerk at Inland Express Trucking Co. After raising her family she worked as executive assistant at Grafacon.

Following retirement in 1992, Claudette had more time to spend with her family and friends, as well the "six Pack" (as they called themselves), which consisted of six couples with whom they went out dinner and/or dancing on most Saturday nights, went away on long weekends, and did some vacationing. She attended church weekly and after retirement, several times a week. She lived her faith in God and the Roman Catholic Church which gave her peace and comforted her during difficult times, especially as her health aged. Claudette was a member of what evolved to be called simply "Club" it changed over the years from crafts, such as knitting, sewing, liquid embroidery, etc. It became the modern day "Book Club" that was mostly time for themselves, away from their family chores, laughing, snacking, as well as tea/wine/cocktails. She was also a member of the the Ladies Guild and Couples Club. Claudette had many interests, hobbies, and talents throughout her life. She most enjoyed when all of her children, their spouses, and grandchildren were all together or being included in any activity, celebration, or gathering any family might have. Throughout the years Claudette also enjoyed family camping trips, the beach, spending time at their "Maine Camp" in Bethel, ME, her flower gardens, travel, her pool, sitting in her gazebo, organizing and showing her photos, crossword puzzles, reading magazines, keeping her clothes "stylish", wearing jewelry, playing bingo and participating in any crafts or exercise groups going on while she lived at New Horizon's assisted living and St. Patrick's Manor, and watching her "stories", Dancing with the Stars, game shows, and other favorites.
