David Kelber, 83, of Marlborough passed away Friday November 21, 2025 at his home with his wife and children by his side.

He was the son of the late Julius and Elizabeth (Cavanaugh) Kelber and is survived by his wife of 59 years Carol (Chase) Kelber, his son David Kelber of Marlborough, his daughter Christine Lohnes and her husband Kevin and his great grandson Brayden Lohnes of Framingham. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Melanie Lohnes of Framingham.

David graduated from Marlborough High School in 1961 and attended Electronics and Radio Technician School in Boston. Upon completing his education he opened Dave’s TV with his friend and partner John until the business ended in the early 80’s. He also worked at Foreign Motors West as a driver, retiring at the age of 69.

Family and friends could always count on David to help fix most anything be it plumbing, carpentry, woodworking, and especially cars. He added both a family room and garage onto his home by himself, amongst other home projects he worked on throughout the years.

He was an active member of The Loyal Order of Moose and The Sons of the Italian American War Veterans and enjoyed helping in fundraising events.

He enjoyed his yearly vacations at the Cape and on his 40th anniversary he and his wife Carol vacationed in Hawaii. He found enjoyment at Disney World and loved taking the family on a special trip that included his granddaughter Melanie.

When his great grandson Brayden came along, he loved playing with the little boy who called him Gumpa. They would play trucks and cars and go for ice cream.

A funeral Mass for David will be celebrated Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Matthias Parish, 409 Hemenway Street, Marlborough, MA 01752.

There will be no funeral home visiting hours.
