Eleanor (Wilbur) Lavallee, 90, of Marlborough, MA, died Wed., June 9, at her home. Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Jesse (Magrath) Wilbur, and the wife of Robert F. Lavallee of Marlborough,to whom she had been married for the past 72 yrs.
Following her graduation from Marlborough High School, she attended secretarial school for several years. After raising her family, she was employed by the Sudbury School System in the food service department at the Fairbank's School. Mrs. Lavallee, a member of St. Matthias Parish, enjoyed cooking, loved traveling throughout the country in the family motor home, and living in the family home, Green Ridge Farm.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her sons, Robert Lavallee, Jr. and his wife June, of Marlborough, David Lavallee, of Marlborough, her daughters, Janet Testa, of Wayland, and Lynn Lavallee, of Dunstable, her brother, Robert Wilbur, of Ashland, her sister, Harriet Perry, of Marlborough, her sister-in-law, Anne Lavallee, of Marlborough, 6 grandchildren, 16 great - grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Mon., June 14, at 10:00 am in St. Matthias Church, 409 Hemenway St., Marlborough. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Beach St., Marlborough. Visiting hrs.will be held on Sun. ,June 13, from 4-7 pm in the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St.,Marlborough, MA.
