Franklin R. McCarty “Peanut”, 82, of Whitinsville, died February 23, 2024, at UMass Memorial Medical Center.

He was the son of the late James Charles and Bessie (Gibbs) McCarty and was the husband to Cindy (Davis) McCarty to whom he’d been married 47 years.

Besides his wife, Franklin is survived by his children, Tod McCarty, Shaun McCarty, Harry McCarty, Vicki Smith and Sharon Guevara, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by his sisters Cynthia Rosado and Henrietta McCarty and brother Michael “Skip” McCarty.

Visiting hours for Franklin will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 5-7pm at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough, MA 01752.
