Guida Simonelli-Oakes, 65, of Jefferson, died Saturday, August 2, 2025, at UMass Medical Center.
She was the daughter of Guido and Esther (Cacciapuoti) Simonelli and wife of Scott W. Oakes, whom had been her partner for 40 years. She was predeceased by her loving sister, Emily (Penny) Leblanc.
Guida attended Gainsville University and studied theater and culinary arts.
She was Head Chef-Kitchen Manager at Holden Hills Country Club. She also worked at various nursing homes. Guida was an amazing singer and performer. She was also a passionate horse and animal lover.
A God loving, creative and free spirit, her greatest gift was talking to her and feeling the sweetness and love in her heart uplift you. She was one of a kind.
Besides her husband Scott, Guida is survived by, her sisters, Alessandra Simonelli-Jacques, Maryanne Simonelli, Tracy Simonelli and many loving relatives.
Burial services for Guida will be private. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
