Helen Carbone Wagley, 72, of Stanford, Kentucky passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022, at home.
She was born in Marlborough, Massachusetts on August 11, 1950 to the late Eugene and Helen Shogan Carbone.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Paul Carbone; a sister, Barbara Thimot; and a granddaughter, Samantha Hayes.
Helen is survived by her husband of 22 years, Tom Wagley; son: Jason (Tessa) Hayes of Massachusetts; brothers: John, Albert, Peter, and Mike Carbone, all of Massachusetts; sisters: Suzanne (John) Neville of Vermont and Jeannie Brown of Florida; grandchildren: Dylan, Zyla, and Sage Hayes; and great-grandchildren: Athan, Titan, Sid, and Gabriel Hayes.
She was a former administrative secretary for Digital Equipment Corporation. Helen had a generous heart and was active in her community. She was a member of Amvets, Eagles, and American Legion. Helen collected dolphins and spoons.
Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, from 10 a.m-12 p.m. at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant Street, Marlborough, MA 01752. A short graveside service and burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough, the family will hold a small gathering at AmVets Post 1980, 17 Fitchburg St., for those who would like to attend starting at 1:30 p.m.
