Henry "Hank" Nordheim Obituary

Henry “Hank” F. Nordheim, 90 of Oxford, passed away Wednesday March 8, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at The Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitative Facility in Worcester MA

He was born in Waltham the son of the late Frank and Anna (Palmer) Nordheim and the husband of the late Anne Maureen (Shea) Nordheim.  He was also predeceased by his sister Edna Nordheim and his son Mark Nordheim. 

Henry is survived by his sister Connie Harris of Marlborough, his son Paul Nordheim of Worcester, his daughter Elysa Monserrate and her husband Johnny Monserrate of Oxford and his daughter Patricia Nickerson and her husband Steven Nickerson of Barre. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jacqueline Lussier and her fiancé Alex Tanski, Sean Lussier, Alexandre and Isabella Monserrate, and three great grandchildren. He held them all very dear to his heart and enjoyed sharing stories from the old days with them.

Henry was a graduate of Newton High School and proudly served in the Air Force during the Korean War from 1952 through 1956. In his younger years, Henry worked as a driver for a local vendor delivery company. He also worked at Worcester State College for many years in the Maintenance department until he retired in 1995. Henry grew up in Newton, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford in 2014 to live with his daughter and son-in law.  

Henry’s hobbies included golfing, gardening, fishing and photography as well as having cookouts and playing cribbage and various card games with family and friends. Henry will undoubtedly be remembered for his warm gentle smile, his quiet laid-back nature, his great sense of humor and genuine kindness he showed to everyone.

There will be a Graveside service by Father Roy of Saint Roch’s Church on Wednesday March 29th at 11:00 am at Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster Street, Worcester MA 01603.  A gathering of friends and family will immediately follow the graveside services at Saint Roch’s Church in Oxford in the Church Hall.
