Jane (Tedrow) Decker, 77, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 23, 2026.

Born on December 17, 1948, Jane was the daughter of the late Alva and Julia (Haddad) Tedrow and grew up in Marlborough, Massachusetts. She graduated from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and worked as a pharmacist, while also nurturing a lifelong love of art and painting.

Nearly 30 years ago, Jane’s life was forever changed by a tragic automobile accident that resulted in a traumatic brain injury. Though her life took an unexpected path, Jane’s quiet strength and the enduring love of her family carried her through each chapter. In the years that followed, she found comfort in life’s simple pleasures, including playing bingo, completing word searches, and watching episodes of Friends.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Melissa Colleton of Clinton and her husband, Ryan; her beloved grandchildren, Lucas, Jacoby, and Emily; her sisters, Delia Cardinal and Irene Zeh; and her niece, Chantal Sebastiao and her husband, Greg.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at River Terrace for the exceptional care, kindness, and dignity they provided to Jane. The family is especially grateful for the love and devotion of Jane’s daughter, Melissa, and for the unwavering love and support of her sisters, Delia and Irene—especially Delia’s many years of devoted care.

Though Jane will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she is finally at peace. She will be remembered for her quiet strength, her appreciation for life’s simple joys, and the special place she will always hold in the hearts of those who loved her.

Visitation for Jane will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 10:00-11:00am with a funeral service following in the funeral home at 11:00am at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant Street, Marlborough, MA 01752. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street in Marlborough.
