Jodi E. Martin-Trombetta Obituary
Jodi E. Martin-Trombetta, 61, died peacefully on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Framingham Union Hospital while surrounded by her husband and children.
Born in North Adams, MA on May 3, 1963, Jodi was the daughter of the late Jane (Garello) Martin. She received her education in Bennington, VT and was a 1981 graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School where she played field hockey. Following High School, she was an executive assistant at Rockport and Clarks for over 30 years. Her professional achievements were matched by her personal qualities, and she was a beloved figure at work as well as in her broader community.
She is survived by her husband, Charlie, and her children Chelsey and Alex Trombetta of Marlborough, MA. She also leaves behind her sister, Jill Martin of Bennington, VT and her in-laws Charles and Eileen Trombetta of Marlborough, her sisters’ in-law Lisa Trombetta, Laura Barsamian (Ara) and brother-in-law, Anthony Trombetta (Christine). Also, her nieces Lindy (Caslin) Borden and Lucy Trombetta and nephews Christopher Coppola, Nicholas Coppola, Charles Barsamian, Jack Trombetta, and her great nephew Oliver Borden. She is predeceased by her brother Todd Martin of Bennington, VT.
If you knew Jodi, you knew her bright smile and contagious laugh could brighten any room she walked into. Jodi loved to spend time with her family and friends and walking her beloved dogs Ruby and Howie. When her children were young, she volunteered every Friday with the Marlborough school system to engage with the community and be close to her children who were the lights of her life. Jodi loved spending time in the sun, especially family summer vacations in Dennis, MA at Mayflower Beach.
Jodi could often be found reading and was part of a book club with a group of friends. She found great joy in making and delivering May Day baskets throughout her life, welcoming spring with friends and family. Jodi loved to entertain and was an amazing hostess who made every holiday and event special for her family and guests. In her semi-retirement, she loved tending to her garden and incorporating the vegetables in her delicious home cooking.
Her generosity and thoughtful spirit will always be remembered. Jodi will forever be in our hearts and missed every day.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 23, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Pleasant Street, Marlborough. A private burial and celebration of life will take place at a later date.
