John Ellsworth Beane, III

John Ellsworth Beane, III, 74, of Yarmouth Port, MA., formerly of Marlborough, MA. passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023, after an illness at his home on Cape Cod. 

Born in Portsmouth, NH., he was the son of the late John E. Beane, Jr. and Rita (Davis) Lafiner, and the husband of Donna (Thibeault) Beane for the past 38 years. He graduated from Marlborough High School with the Class of 1967.  He retired from the Shipping and Receiving Dept. at Independent Cable, of Hudson, MA.   

John enjoyed playing softball, touch football and pool leagues for Bert’s Lounge/Corner Stone Pub and the Marlborough Eagle’s.  He was on the gymnastics and track teams in high school.  He had a love for bowling and made an appearance on Candlepins for Cash.  He loved his time on the Cape especially Mayflower beach playing bocce with his friends, watching sunsets and shooting off fireworks on all the summer holidays.  His leather coat, sunglasses, earrings and flip flops were his unique trademarks.  His favorite band was Pink Floyd. 

Besides his wife Donna, John is survived by his son John E. Beane, IV and his wife Laurie of Bellingham, his daughter Jean-Marie Beane of Marlborough, his stepchildren, Heather Hallisey, her husband Patrick, Melissa Dinallo and her husband Ryan, and Jessica Dinallo.  His brother Larry Beane and wife Sandra, sister Jennifer Davis and husband Philip.  He was also predeceased by sister, Arline Girard, brother Michael Beane and stepmother Betty Beane.   He is also survived by his grandchildren, Stephen, Shane, John, Zach, Sky, Gabriel and Patrick and many great children, nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Izzy.
