Loreena Annette Monica Moffa Merlini, lovingly known as Renee, passed away peacefully at home on March 25, 2026, at the age of 74, surrounded by her family.

Born on October 5, 1951, Renee devoted her life to the people she loved most. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jody Charles Merlini; her daughter, Kristen Merlini Duplessis; her son-in-law, Chris Duplessis; her grandsons, Jack and Chad; her beloved grand dog, Axl; her sisters, Karen Chapman and Marijane Somma; her brothers, Peter and Larry Moffa; her sisters- and brothers-in-law, Diane, Beverly, Chuck, and Rodney; and many nieces and nephews.

Renee worked for 28 years at Costco as a sales audit clerk, affectionately known as the “sales audit queen.” She was not materialistic and found her happiness in simple, meaningful things—time at home, holidays with her family, her favorite meals, watching television, and old black-and-white movies. What mattered most to her was being close to the people she loved.

In her younger years, Renee had a spirited and adventurous side, enjoying trips, motorcycle rides, camping, and time spent out in the world with her husband. As she grew older, she became more protective of the life she built, finding the most comfort and happiness simply being with her family.

Renee was beautiful, with a smile reserved for those she loved, reflecting the warmth, care, and deep devotion she gave so freely. She loved deeply, worried deeply, and gave everything she had to the people closest to her.

She will be deeply missed and never forgotten by her family and all who knew her.

Visiting hours for Renee will be held Monday, April 6, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant Street, Marlborough, MA 01752. Burial will be private.
