Lorraine Gaillardet Caranci

Lorraine (Gaillardet) Caranci, 83, of Marlborough, died Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Wingate at Sudbury.
Prior to working for the Salvation Army, Mrs. Caranci had been employed for many years as a machine operator at Marlborough Wire Goods. A strong and independent woman with a quirky sense of humor, she spent much of her time at the Marlborough Public Library, as she loved to read, as well as work cross word puzzles.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Caranci and his wife Rose of Southbridge and John Caranci and his wife Anne of Storrs, CT, her daughter, Danine Guimond and her husband David of Berlin, her grandchildren, Brittney, John, Emily, Chrystal, Tyler, Corey, Brianna, Zachary, Michael, Matthew, Caige, Jack, and Nick, her great grandchildren, Shawn and Peyton and her nephew, Kevin Joyce. She was also the mother of the late Michael Caranci and Michelle Caranci of Wilmington, NC, who died October 9, 2012.
A memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Greater Grace Christian Fellowship, 187 Pleasant St., Marlborough, MA. Arrangements are under the direction of the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough, MA
