Mary Anne (Maryman) Curtis 96, Shrewsbury
Died of natural causes in her Southgate at Shrewsbury residence on June 26. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Donald and five children. Rita Soave and husband Benny, of Hopkinton, Curt Curtis and wife Janet of Hernando, Mississippi, Lea Foley and husband John of Westford, Karen Pinkham and husband Joseph of Hingham and Andrea Mallozzi and husband Michael of Scarborough, Maine. Also, her sister Dorothy Murphy of Parker, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edgar and Emma Maryman and sister Catherine.
Born in Washington, DC she was a graduate of Georgetown University School of Nursing and while living in Framingham with her husband she worked for twenty-two years at St. Patrick's Manor as nurse and staff trainer. Mary Anne was a 26 year member of the Northborough Garden Club. She was a gifted crafter in quilting, needlecrafts, painting and flower arranging. She enjoyed playing bridge and going to the beach with her grandchildren. Those who love her will remember her as someone who was friends with everyone she met. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all.
Visiting hours will be held Monday, July 1, 2024, from 4-6pm at the Slattery Funeral Home Inc., Marlborough, MA 01752. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at St. Bernadette's Church in Northborough, MA 01532.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Notre Dame Health Care, 555 Plantation St. Worcester, MA 01605.
