Philip A. Garcia, 90, of Marlborough, died Monday, December 25, 2023, at The Reservoir for Health and Rehabilitation.
He was the son of the late Philip Garcia and Nellie (Sayko) Garcia Scott and stepson of the late Edward Scott. He was the husband to Elaine M. (Senecal) Garcia, to whom he’d been married 59 years. He was predeceased by his brother, Ronald Garcia.
Philip was a graduate of Marlborough High School and later went on to work for Polaroid until his retirement. He was formerly a member at St. Mary’s Church and upon their closing continued following his faith at Immaculate Conception Church in Marlborough.
Besides his wife, Philip is survived by his sons, Michael Garcia of Barre and Thomas A. Garcia of Milford, his grandchildren, Michael and Zachary Hollenkamp, and Steve, Rachael and Olivia Garcia, his great-granddaughter Teegan Hollenkamp, his brother Richard Garcia, and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours for Philip will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023, from 5-7pm at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant Street, Marlborough, MA 01752. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 10am at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect Street, Marlborough, MA. A private burial will be held at a later date.
