Robert R. Gauthier

Robert R. Gauthier, 85, of Marlborough died Tuesday, July 4, 2023.
Born in Marlborough, he was the son of the late Rene and Lillian (Archambeault) Gauthier.
Robert is survived by his daughters, Robin Makani and her husband John Makani of Clinton, Karen Harding and her husband Michael Harding of Clinton, and Sylvia Rumsey and her husband Jim Rumsey of Leominster, his son, Robert R Gauthier Jr. and his wife Mary Gauthier of Iowa, his grandchildren, Ryan, Sara, Matthew, Emily, Kate, Robbie, Maren, Madison and Jimmy and his great grandchildren, Ryan JR, Lily and Connor. He is also survived by his sister Yvonne Lizotte and his brother Paul Gauthier.
Robert or how everyone knew him (Bob), Loved getting together with family and friends to enjoy a good meal and some laughs. Whether that was at a restaurant or backyard cookout as long as he was with the people he cared about he was having a blast. He also enjoyed playing cards and getting his weekly lottery. One of the things he loved most was being a Grampy and a Great Grampy.
Robert was also a United States Air Force Veteran who proudly served from 1955-1959 as a USAF Airman. He was honorably discharged after serving 4 years. He was very proud and honored to have served our country and enjoyed telling stories about all the great places he was able to visit and see.
Robert worked at Automatic Specialties in Northborough for 40 Years and was considered a most dedicated employee. He loved working there and loved his ASI family.
Visiting hours for Robert will be held Sunday, July 16, 2023, from 1:00-3:00 pm at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant Street, Marlborough, MA 01752.
