Robert William Sibilio, 76, of Marlborough, MA, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025, at his home at Christopher Heights after a brief battle with cancer.
Born on May 26, 1948, in Marlborough, Bob was the son of the late Alphonse and Jeanette (Brewin) Sibilio. He spent most of his life in the family home on Elm Street in Marlborough. After graduating from Marian High School in 1967, Bob dedicated 35 years to a successful career with National Grid, where he made many lifelong friendships and was well respected in his field. After retiring, Bob enjoyed a second career working at JCPenney for 10 years, where he continued to bring his work ethic and warmth to his colleagues and customers.
Bob loved music of all kinds, especially Big Band, Gloria Estefan, and Barry Manilow. He enjoyed whistling and dancing to his favorite tunes. Bob also loved visiting "the happiest place on earth," where he made cherished memories.
Bob is survived by his loving sister, Suzanne Sibilio Winn; his children, Robert Jr.; Karen Sibilio Hunt and her husband Jo; and Michael and his wife, Danielle; and his grandchildren, Sarah, Colin, and Landon. He also leaves behind his niece Katie Winn Quinn, her husband Mike, and great-nephew Alexander.
Bob had a quiet strength that endeared him to those who knew him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from 4:00-6:00pm at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant Street, Marlborough, MA 01752.
In keeping with Bob’s wishes, a private burial will be held at a later date.
