Robert Timothy Walsh of Berlin, MA, died on Saturday, May 21st, 2022, at UMass Memorial Hospital in Leominster, MA, with his two sons, Timothy and Michael, by his side. He was 94-years-old.
Mr. Walsh was born on September 13th, 1927, to the late John Walsh and Hannah Driscoll, both Irish immigrants. He grew up in Lawrence, MA, and went on to serve in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After he was honorably discharged, he graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
On December 14th, 1969, he married Gloria J. Coute in Berlin, MA. They lived in Lowell, MA, and Marlborough, MA, before settling in Berlin in 1975. He worked as a Chiropractor, as well as a building inspector for the City of Worcester for many years. He enjoyed woodworking, cars, talking politics, and was a fan of all Boston professional sports teams, especially the Patriots.
He is survived by his two sons, Timothy R. Walsh of Arlington, MA, and Michael J. Walsh of Princeton, MA; and five grandchildren: Dylan, Alexandra, Anna, Moira, and Jillian. He was predeceased by his wife, Gloria Walsh, and three siblings, Mary Battles of Andover, MA; John Walsh Jr. of Plaistow, NH; and Joseph Walsh of Grasonville, MD.
Private funeral services will be held by Robert’s family.
