Ruth Anne was born in Watertown and passed away after prolonged illness at Metrowest Medical Hospital with her family by her side. She was a long time resident of Marlborough.

Ruth enjoyed floral design, roller skating and dancing. She  performed with Ceil Sharon’s Dance studio for 25 years. As a mother and a supporter of the arts, she volunteered for Marlborough Public School Music Association for many years.

Ruth was a graduate of Hudson Catholic High, Mass Bay Community College and Westfield State College. She was most recently employed at Ron Brochard Auto and Prime Auto, Wegman’s and Shaw’s along with ADESA Auto Auction.

She is predeceased by her husband, William (2021), parents, Frank(2006) & Phyllis (2016) Fortier and father in law, Ralph Crowell (2019). She leaves two sons, William Crowell and his partner Kate of Mashpee and Christopher Crowell of Marlborough, grandchildren Silas, Addison and Wyatt, and two sisters, Mary Handy of Marlborough and Nancy Klein of Worcester as well as, Caroline Crowell, mother in law and her daughters, Elizabeth  and Faith along with several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
