Sandra (Sawyer) Babineau

Sandra Babnieau, 80, of Marlborough, died Friday, September 2, 2022 at UMass Memorial Marlborough Hospital.

She was the daughter to the late Francis and Doris (Zanca) Sawyer and sister to the late Richard Sawyer and was predeceased by her husband Vincent Babineau.

A lifelong resident of Marlborough, Sandra was a graduate of St. Anne’s Academy and went on to obtain her Associates Degree from Ward’s School of Business in Worcester, MA. Sandra spent her life working as a medical transcriptionist, retiring from Framingham Union Hospital where she worked for many years. She was an avid Red Sox fan who loved word searches, roller skating, and spending every minute she could on Facebook keeping track of all of her family and friends but above all else, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Sandra is survived by her son Jeffrey Babineau and his wife Ericka of Highland, NY and her daughter Michelle Drouin of Marlborough, MA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Zackary, Jarred, Noah, Katie, Evan, and Jeremy.

Visiting hours for Sandra will be held Friday, September 16, 2022 from 9:00-10:30 AM at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant Street, Marlborough, MA 07152. Burial will follow at 11:00AM at IC Cemetery, Beach Street, Marlborough.
